FEELER GAGE/THICKNESS GAGE
Manufactured from the highest quality C 1095 high carbon steel, hardened and tempered to RC 48-52. This material is ground then polished to meet exacting tolerances. Both coils and strips are clearly etched with thickness every six inches.
STAINLESS FEELER GAGE
Meets the same chemical properties and tolerance specifications as Type 304, full hard stainless shim.
STAINLESS SHIM STOCK
Type 301, 302, 304 & 316 full hard material all have a hardness range of RC 40-45.
Type 301 stainless has a nominal composition of 17% chromium and 7% nickel. It meets SAE 30301, ASTM-A-666, & AMS-5519.
Type 302, 304 stainless are variations of the 18% chromium and 8% nickel alloy ( commonly referred to as 18/8 ). They meet ASTM-A-666, and AMS-5906 and AMS-5913 respectively.
Type 316 is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel and is more resistant to corrosion than 304. It meets SAE 30316.
STANDARD WIDTH TOLERANCE IS +/- .005
BRASS SHIM STOCK
A cold rolled, half hard alloy with a R30 T hardness range of 56/68. meets SAE 260, ASTM B36 #6, AMS 4507-C, QQ- B-613b
STEEL SHIM STOCK
C1010 is a cold rolled, full hard, low carbon steel with a minimum hardness of RB-90.

Manufactured from 302/304 full hard stainless steel. Size A- 2×2 with 5/8” slot
Size B- 3×3 with 3/4” slot
